Where is Pontchartrain Hotel Located?

The Pontchartrain is located in New Orleans’ historic Garden District area at the crossroads of downtown and uptown, near entertainment, restaurants, music, shopping, and business conferences. It is minutes from downtown’s boisterous French Quarter scene, Central Business District row, and the University Area (Tulane and Loyola)

How far is the hotel from the airport?

The airport is 16 miles from the property.

Check-In/Out Info

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 3 pm and check-out is 12 pm.

Is early check-in available?

We offer early check-in on a first-come basis, depending on room occupancy. While we can’t guarantee it, we’ll do our best. Give us a call to check on availability.

Is there an option to store luggage?

We’ll store your luggage for no charge, before check-in or after check-out.

Reservations

Can I change my reservation?

Please contact the hotel to see about changes. If it’s less than 72 hours before your arrival, a change may not be possible.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel by 3:00 PM CST and it’s at least 72 hours before arrival, you can avoid a 1 night(s) cancel penalty charge. Special events, such as Mardi Gras, will have different cancellation policies. Please check at the time of booking.

Guest Services

 Is parking available on-site?

The hotel only offers Valet Parking – $49 + tax (per each night of stay). Valet parking is available within and out access available 24 hours a day. No charging stations are available in the valet garage.

Is room service available?

Room service is currently unavailable; however, every guestroom is equipped with a private bar, and guests are encouraged to place carryout orders from any of our restaurants.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome at the hotel. A $75.00 fee is required at check-in to allow us to thoroughly clean and sanitize the room after your departure. No more than two pets are allowed per guest room.

 

Amenities

What is included in the Destination Amenity Fee?

The daily fee includes complimentary guestroom coffee, Hi-Speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, local calls, digital newspaper and e-books, bottled water at check-in, and daily access to Franco’s gym on Magazine. Hotel guests also receive preferred access to Jack Rose restaurant, Hot Tin rooftop bar, Silver Whistle café, and Bayou Bar (inclusive of live music). Finally, one complimentary glass of sparkling wine per guest at either bar is included.

Is there a fitness center?

There is not a fitness center in the hotel, however, the hotel partners with Franco’s Gym on Magazine, and hotel guests are welcome to use the facilities as part of their Destination Amenity Fee.

Is WIFI available in guestrooms and public areas?

Complimentary WIFI is available in all guestrooms and public spaces.

What amenities are in each guestroom?

Hairdryer, Le Labo bath amenities, bathrobe, in-room safe, and working desk in each room.

Are cribs or rollaway beds available?

Rollaway beds are not available at the hotel. Cribs and Pack n Plays are available upon request based on availability at the time of check-in.

Do guestrooms have refrigerators or microwaves?

Both refrigerators and microwaves are available upon request based on availability at the time of check-in.

What restaurants are at the hotel?

There are 4 unique restaurants at the hotel. Silver Whistle Cafe serves breakfast from 7 AM-11 AM daily. Jack Rose is open for dinner Wed-Sun and offers a mix of New Orleans’ Italian, French, and Spanish dishes. Hot Tin is a rooftop bar serving only drinks daily from 2 PM-12 AM. Last but not least is Bayour Bar which serves lunch and dinner daily, as well as offering live music on Tues-Sat evenings.
